CRONIES BAR & RESTAURANT is tucked inside a stunning 18th century building as memorable as any of the poems penned by Scotland’s national bard, Rabbie Burns, who wined and dined here with his cronies in 1787. Our style is contemporary with sophisticated touches of tradition; the hospitality is timelessly convivial. The location is second to none – our bar restaurant is close to magnificent Stirling Castle, and just a couple of minutes’ walk from shops and the town’s main bus and rail stations.

Stirling restaurants don’t come any better than ours. We pride ourselves on our fresh homemade cuisine, and in sourcing locally whenever possible. Succulent local beef and Scottish seafood are among our signature dishes, and our delectable, unique Scottish Tapas are not to be missed.

Light bites, cakes, pastries, coffees and teas … from breakfast ‘til dinner, whatever your preference, we can satisfy it, in style. Delicious gluten free and vegetarian options are of course always available.

We are proud to be a Stirling bar par excellence. Sip a Stirling Gin; relax over a dram of Unchillfiltered from nearby Deanston Distillery, select one of our unique cocktails, such as the Ae Fond Fizz and the Jean Amoré. You can explore our Scotch Malts more deeply, with one of our expert Tasting Flights – boards of four matched malts that take you through legendary areas of whisky heritage.

Our beers, wines and spirits are broad in choice and high in quality, from local brews to international labels. The Cronies Collection is our treasury of exclusive cocktails, superior gins and majestic malt whiskies.
